Deji Plaza Phase 1 is located in the center of the Xinjiekou Central Business District, Nanjing and is connected to Phase 2 with an enclosed bridge.

Totaling 64,000 square meters (688,000 sq. ft.), Phase 1 transformed an existing retail mall for integration with Phase 2 & future masterplan phases.

LMCA's design repositions the retail with the new masterplan and creates a seamless connectivity to all future phases.

The Phase 1 luxury retail mall remained open and uninterupped while the new cladding was constructed.
